Description: We will be having our Pack Christmas Party at the Garfield Park Conservatory from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, December 14th. The Garfield Park Conservatory is located at 2505 Conservatory Dr. Indianapolis, IN 46203. This event is open to the entire family and there is no charge for admission.
Come enjoy a winter wonderland! See the Conservatory decked out in its holiday best with a brilliant display of poinsettias and thousands of Christmas lights! Children of all ages will love the running model trains that are displayed throughout the garden along with the beautiful train village with thousands of twinkling lights! Santa Claus will be available for family photos so don’t forget to bring your camera! Each child will have the opportunity to do a scavenger hunt inside the conservatory. Best of all, this event will take place after hours so that we will have the entire Garfield Conservatory for just our Pack family! To prevent overcrowding, we are asking that the Tiger and Wolf Dens tour the Conservatory from 6:00pm-7:00pm & that the Bear & Webelo Dens tour the Conservatory from 7:00pm-8:00pm. This will be more of a family event. There will not be any Pack announcements or awards given at the Christmas party. This is just a time for families to enjoy the Christmas Season with one another.
Upon your arrival, you will find parking near the entrance to the Conservatory. Please enter through the main entrance. Everyone should dress in layers. The Conservatory is kept between 75 and 85 degrees, and at 75% humidity, it is quite warm!
The Garfield Staff have requested that we encourage scout leaders and parents to uphold discipline and courtesies during the program. The Conservatory and Sunken Gardens is an environment where all plants and animals are protected. Please make sure that children do not pick or harm any plants or animals. We need to make sure that all children remain on the walkways at all times. We also need to make sure that no one brings food or drinks inside the Conservatory. Santa’s elves will be passing out goodie bags filled with treats to all of the children as they leave the Conservatory.
