Help Scouts learn this valuable life skill by teaching them basic, everyday tasks, such as cleaning or making a grocery list.  Allow them to come up with their own way of doing things.  Let them brainstorm for new ideas.  With a little creative help and a lot of encouragement, you’ll find your scout able to solve problems and maybe find a faster, easier, or more economical way of doing things.  Who knows, maybe they’ll teach you a thing or two about resourcefulness along the way.

We encourage all units to participate in church services and serve as greeters on Scout Sunday - February 5th.
Special program folders are available in the Scout Shop to provide to the church for their Sunday bulletins.
After your Scouts participate in Scout Sunday, please visit the Activities page to let us know that your Scouts demonstrated the “A Scout is Reverent”.

Edited to add:  Some organizations chose a different day to observe Scout Sunday, such as the United Methodist Church, which honors scouts on the second Sunday in February.  You might want to check with your chosen church in advance to be sure of the date.

Happy New Year, everyone!  We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season and time with your family.

After a short break, the Pack 107 website is back in full swing, ready for a new year loaded with lots of exciting and fun events!

Our next gathering will be Friday, January 20th at The Bible Church on East Payne Road, (just off Hunter Road, south of Southeastern).  We will meet for the January pack meeting, then we’re going to enjoy dinner and a lock-in.   This year’s lock-in will have a Mad Science theme.

Highlights of the evening include:

PIE IN THE CUBMASTER’S FACE!

PIZZA!

SCIENCE LABS!

POPCORN!

A MOVIE, (or two!)!

And MUCH MORE!

This is an event you won’t want to miss.

Please remember to dress in uniform and be ready for the Pack Meeting to begin promptly at 6:30.

Also, if you are staying for the lock-in, you will need:  A sleeping bag, pillow,  and sleepwear.

Tigers and Wolves will each need to bring a bag of chips.

Bears and Webelos will each need to bring a package/container of cookies.  NO NUTS or PEANUT BUTTER, please!

Akelas, you will need to pick up your scout between 7:00-7:30 a.m. on Saturday.   If your son will be picked up by someone other than the adult who registered him, prior notification will need to be given to your den’s leader.  Siblings are welcome to attend this event, but will NOT be allowed to stay for the lock-in unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Scouts, you earned this event by meeting our popcorn goal!  We hope to see EVERY member of our pack there!

The scouts and some parents walked up all 331 steps to the top of the Monument!  After enjoying the view high above The Circle, the group  walked to Steak-n-shake downtown, where they enjoyed a meal and  had a great time hanging out. That evening the wolves went to the Indianapolis Ice hockey game, where they got to go out onto the rink and attempt to shoot some goals!  What a fun day for this busy group of scouts!  Way to go, Den 7!

Pack 107′s Christmas party on Tuesday, December 13th, truly was a magical night.  The scouts and their siblings enjoyed making reindeer food and fishing for candy canes during gathering time, then were treated to a wonderful magic show by Mike the Magician while snacking on cookies and hot chocolate. Mike the Magician did a great job keeping everyone entertained!  Many of our scouts even got to participate in the magic show!  Santa made an appearance at the end of the night, and each den had it’s picture taken with him.

The Christmas Committee would like to thank everyone who attended and made this such a special event, especially the volunteers who helped with setup, sign-in,  games, refreshments, and cleanup.   The night would not have been a success without the efforts from this hardworking group of people!  Also, thanks to everyone for all the delicious cookies they brought!

We also want to thank everyone who donated toys to the Toys for Tots program.  We collected two giant boxes full of toys and games for the Health Net organization, who will be thrilled to receive such a generous donation from our pack.  Great job, everyone!  Way to Do Your Best!
